Romeo and Juliet Discussion Question
Often in Romeo and Juliet, characters have premonitions, kind of advance warnings, that bad things are going to happen to them. Frequently, these premonitions turn out to be true. If you have ever dreamt or felt that something good or bad was about to happen, it can sometimes seem so real that you awake believing that the events have actually occurred.
1)Have you ever had a premonition, whether in a dream or just an eerie feeling that you experienced? 2) Do you belive in fate? 3) Suppose Romeo had listened to his dream and not gone to Capulet's party. Would that have solved his problem or would he have encountered Juliet somewhere else? Is it possible that these star-crossed lovers fate was beyond their control?
